According to Evan Nikolich, the design director for Apex Legends, the primary aim of these changes is to enhance the viability of every weapon, ultimately preventing a stagnant meta.“Almost every weapon is getting a damage increase, ”Nikolich stated during a developer Q&A.“Our goal is to elevate all of our weapons to be more competitive with top-tier choices like the R301 and Flatline.”

Fan favorites, like the C. A.R. SMG, will now be able to incorporate laser attachments to improve their accuracy, adding an exciting new dynamic to gameplay.
