Apple announces the testing of a future incremental update – iPadOS 16.5 – a day after the release of iPadOS 16.4. Presumably, the upgrade will include a lot of modifications in addition to the system-wide improvements. Continue reading to learn more about the impending iPadOS 16.5 first beta version.
Apple has begun to distribute the new iPadOS 16.5 beta to eligible iPads with the 20F5028e build number. The first beta is 4.86GB in size, which is larger than the previous beta, so be sure you have adequate data and storage on your iPad. If your iPad is compatible with iPadOS 16 and you are a developer, you can upgrade to iPadOS 16.5 beta for free.
The upgrade is currently available to developers, but it will soon be available to public beta testers. As usual, Apple did not include any information regarding changes in the release notes, but this update will include new features and upgrades.
I’ve only recently installed the new upgrade on my iPad and have yet to test it, but according to user feedback on social media, the change brings the My Sports dedicated page to the Apple News app, as well as capability for screen recording via Siri.
If you have a compatible iPad, you can install the first beta by following the procedures below.
