Recent updates surrounding the loot mechanics in Arc Raiders have stirred quite a reaction among players. The game’s Community Manager has publicly acknowledged that the recent slowdown in loot reveal speed was an unintended error, indicating that a corrective patch is forthcoming.

Launched alongside Highwinds, the first substantial Arc Raiders update of 2026 introduces a wealth of new content, including an array of quests and the unique Bird City event. This expansion aims to enhance the gameplay experience for fans of Embark’s gripping extraction shooter.

However, players quickly noticed a considerable decrease in the speed at which loot appears in containers post-update. This alteration, which was not documented in the patch notes, led many in the community to speculate that it was a covert nerf. Fortunately, the developers have confirmed it was an oversight.

Developers Address Loot Speed and Fire Rate Concerns

In an official communication on the Arc Raiders Discord, Community Manager ‘Birdie’ assured players that the team is aware of the unintended loot speed reduction and is currently investigating the issue. While no specific timeline for a fix has been provided, the recognition of the problem suggests that a resolution may be on the horizon.

Moreover, players have also observed alterations in the fire rate of certain weapons since the arrival of Highwinds. Community Admin ‘Ossen’ responded to these concerns, clarifying that these changes were likewise unintended and are under review by the development team. In her words, “We have seen your reports about the changes in fire rate. The team is actively investigating and we will keep you posted.”

As excitement builds around future content set to roll out throughout 2026, players are eager for quick fixes to these bugs to fully enjoy the new additions and enhancements that Arc Raiders promises to deliver.
