Following Bae Suzy’s “Lovestagram”post with Park Bogum, there has been a surge of curiosity regarding their relationship status. The idol has now shared her response.
On June 4, Suzy held an interview with the Korean press to discuss her upcoming movie, “Wonderland,”in which she stars alongside actor Park Bogum.
Before the film was released, the pair had been promoting it on Instagram by posting “couple photos,”in which they even coordinated their outfits and accessories.
Despite having an abundance of natural chemistry, many were unsure if the two were truly dating off-screen or if their on-screen romance had sparked genuine feelings between them.
The celebrity known as the “Nation’s First Love”brought up this topic during the interview and playfully taunted the journalists, stating:
“Do you wish I could date Park Bogum in real life? That means we get along so well. Thank you for looking at us so well, haha.”
Suzy then revealed that both fans and staff members have noticed how well they get along, stating:
“The staff even said, ‘You two play well together.’ In the good old days, when we were filming videos, we had to speak informally, and we expressed this kind of relationship by joking around with each other. As we did this, we naturally became close friends and danced around a lot while waiting.”
Upon collaborating for the first time on a drama project, Suzy shared her thoughts on the actor after getting to know him better, stating:
“I thought he’s handsome, warm and shining person. But he’s not just a good-looking person, he’s also strong inside.”
In another interview, Park Bogum also refuted claims that he is dating Suzy, but emphasized that they have a very close relationship.
Despite Tang Wei’s wishful thinking for the virtual couple to become a real-life couple, Park responded politely:
“I am really close friends with Suzy. I think comments like that (reactions about wanting us to date) might make things more awkward between us, haha.”
On the contrary, Bogum saw the misconception of them as a genuine couple as a form of praise and thanked those who viewed them as such. He viewed it as a promising indication that their on-screen chemistry would be well-received and appreciated in the film.
In addition, he shared his thoughts on the famous actress, stating:
“Suzy is very considerate and a very good friend. I had really good memories of filming, ‘Wonderland.’ With Suzy’s help, we talked a lot and we really did our best.”
Park Bogum also teased fans by alluding to a potential collaboration with the actress in an upcoming project. He shared:
“The director half-jokingly said that he wanted to make a musical movie and when he looked at Suzy and me, he said he wanted to make a sweet and pretty story between the two of us. We like to do it as well.”
