The episode commenced with Ars Louvent and his companions making their way to the city of Semplar upon Lord Couran Salamakhia’s invitation to a war council, as they prepared for the battle against Vasmarque Salamakhia.

However, Ars’ friends, Charlotte Reis and Mireille Grangeon, appeared more focused on enjoying their journey rather than preparing for the crucial war council. Despite Ars’ efforts to stress the gravity of their situation, he was eventually swayed by Rietz Muses to let them indulge in their adventure.

Consequently, Ars and his group decided to stop by the ocean they were passing, especially since it was Charlotte’s first time seeing it. Nonetheless, after Charlotte impulsively unleashed a powerful attack on the ocean, they quickly fled to evade potential trouble.

Upon reaching Semplar, Ars and his friends were met with skepticism and dismissive attitudes from the other nobles. Many questioned the presence of Ars, a mere child representing a small domain, at such a significant military conference.

Fortunately, the atmosphere shifted when Lord Couran arrived, advocating for their contributions and asserting the importance of their presence at the meeting, convincing the other nobles to respect them as well.

During the war council’s opening, one of Lord Couran’s retainers suggested that they should seize control of Bertudo for a tactical advantage against Vasmarque. The absurdity of this idea prompted Ars to ask for Mireille’s perspective, which she humorously delivered, critiquing the misguided strategies of the retainers, claiming they would lose to Vasmarque’s forces more often than not.

Her remarks agitated the nobles, leading Mireille to push Rosell to suggest an alternative strategy. After a moment of hesitation, Rosell proposed a ruse to convince Vasmarque’s army that if they abandoned the provincial city of Arcantez, they would be trapped between the forces of Semplar and those from the Province of Paradille.

To execute this plan, Rosell advised gaining the support of the Province of Paradille, with the intention of making it seem that they would attack Arcantez the moment Vasmarque withdrew. He suggested bribing the emperor of Summerforth to act as a go-between. After considering the proposal, Lord Couran put Ars in charge of its execution, despite the skepticism of Ars’ companions regarding their ability to negotiate with the emperor. They decided to enlist the help of Licia Pleide, daughter of Hammond Pleide.

After finalizing their plans, Ars and Rietz visited Prince Hammond’s mansion to request Licia’s assistance with their negotiations. Upon their arrival, Licia warmly welcomed them and promptly whisked Ars away for a brief tour of the town.

During their tour, Licia led Ars to a nursery where she nurtured the flowers he gifted her long ago. When Ars asked her to join him on a mission to persuade the emperor, Licia readily agreed.

In an unexpected moment, Licia confessed her love to Ars and proposed marriage once the war concluded. Reflecting on all the kindness Licia had shown him, Ars realized he too loved her and proposed they marry immediately, to which Licia joyously accepted.
