Asmongold Claims He Was “Evolving” During a Three-Month No-Shower Period

Twitch sensation Asmongold has garnered a reputation for less-than-ideal personal hygiene practices, and his latest revelations have only amplified that image. In a surprising admission to his audience, he disclosed that he has changed his pillowcase a mere two times throughout his life, stating that his lack of showering was a form of “evolution.”

The state of Asmongold’s living space has become a recurring joke within the Twitch community, notorious for its disheveled appearance and apparent neglect. However, it was in 2024 that he finally took steps to rectify the situation, confessing that his environment had deteriorated to the point where dead animals were discovered inside his home.

Among the distressing finds was a dead rat, a scenario that raised eyebrows especially since Asmongold previously joked about using a deceased rodent as an unconventional alarm clock, as the heat from the sun would cause the smell of the decaying animal to wake him up.

The Pillowcase Revelation

Fast forward to a recent stream, where the streamer once more shocked fans with his startling pillowcase habits. He opened up about his struggle with acne in the past, claiming that he hasn’t faced any such issues recently despite his infrequent pillowcase changes.“I change my pillowcases, I’ve done it before. It’s happened, I think twice, ” he said. The first instance was prompted by his girlfriend insisting on a fresh set when she moved in with him in 2019.

Asmongold explained that the second change occurred in 2023, and he hasn’t touched them since. He even recounted a period where he refrained from showering for nearly three months, claiming that his skin felt healthier during that time. However, he now believes that resuming regular showers was a critical mistake, humorously stating that abstaining had led him to a state of “evolution, ” comparing himself to a Pokémon, progressing from Geodude to Graveler.

He explained that his body had adapted to his lack of hygiene, stating, “I stopped getting hot and I stopped getting cold, ” attributing it to a self-regulating mechanism. Asmongold’s unusual approach to cleanliness extends beyond pillowcases; he once went an astounding six years without washing his clothes, preferring to purchase new items from thrift stores instead.
