Twitch streamer Asmongold recently shared his thoughts on “looksmaxxing, ”a concept popularized by creators such as Clavicular, discussing its implications and how women’s perceptions of him changed after he gained fame.

Known for his disregard toward personal grooming, Asmongold has cultivated a reputation that includes months without showers and a famously cluttered streaming environment.

He has opened up about his less-than-healthy lifestyle choices, which primarily revolve around consuming fast food and sugary drinks. Interestingly, Asmongold’s struggles extended beyond his dietary habits; he also faced challenges in his romantic life during his formative years.

Asmongold Reflects on His Online Journey and Attractiveness

In a particularly viral segment from one of his livestreams, Asmongold discussed the notion of “looksmaxxing, ”which refers to enhancing one’s physical attractiveness. Despite any attempts he might make to improve his appearance, he candidly expressed that he considers himself “too ugly, ” asserting that his appearance is unlikely to change significantly.

“I’m a really ugly guy. The way that I look on my camera right now is the best that I can make myself look. If you look at any video of me, any photo of me, you’re going to find numerous comments saying I look like a ghoul, ” he remarked, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of physical appeal.

Reflecting on his school and college days, Asmongold noted that he rarely received any attention from women until his career as a streamer took off.“Anytime a girl would interact with me, it felt like it was because I was a popular streamer. While this can be frustrating, I don’t believe it’s always a negative, ” he explained.

He also mentioned that despite his efforts to change his hairstyle, he feels it would not substantially alter others’ perceptions of him. In his unique lifestyle, Asmongold prefers to maintain a chaotic living space, arguing that while many streamers opt for hired help, he chooses to embrace his “messy” authenticity, considering it a mark of being a “real American.”
