Asmongold faced a Twitch ban following his controversial remarks about Palestine, where he expressed having “no sympathy” for its people and described them as “terrible individuals.”
These statements emerged during his October 14 broadcast on his alternate account, zackrawrr.
In that discussion, he labeled the culture associated with Palestine as “inferior” and claimed it stands in stark opposition to Western values.
He further clarified, “No, I don’t feel sorry for them, I don’t care. I do not support them.”
Viewers and fellow streamers quickly condemned his remarks, calling for action against him. One user, brookeab, queried Twitch directly, stating, “This is just outright racism … Take action.”
This is just straight up racism @Twitch @TwitchSupport do something

Another streamer, Kaceytron, compiled a list of Twitch’s Terms of Service breaches that she asserts Asmongold committed.
These breaches included incitement or promotion of violence against a protected group, dehumanizing narratives about group members, and spreading conspiracy theories labeling certain individuals or groups as inherently evil, among others.
In response, Asmongold released an apology a few hours later, stating, “Looking back, I was far too harsh regarding the Palestine situation. My apologies. Nobody deserves their life to be ruined even if their views seem regressive to me.”
Looking back on it, I was way too much of an asshole about the Palestine thingMy badOf course no one deserves to have their life destroyed even if they do things or have views I find regressiveYou guys deserve more than me saying stupid shit like that, I’ll do better

The following day, October 15, Asmongold received a ban on his zackrawrr account, which is technically a secondary profile. His primary account remains active, although he has not streamed on it for over a year.
According to Twitch’s guidelines, he could face further suspension for attempting to evade the ban by streaming on his main account. It remains uncertain whether Twitch will impose a ban on that account as well.
Currently, the status of this ban—whether it is temporary or permanent—remains unclear, and Asmongold has not yet issued a statement regarding it. Should the ban be lasting, he might consider alternative platforms for his streaming, following the footsteps of other streamers like Adin Ross, who have also been removed from Twitch.
