However, the spotlight was undoubtedly on Larian Studios, who captured the audience’s attention with the unveiling of the trailer for Divinity.

Is There a Release Date for Divinity?
As it stands, an official release date for Divinity has not been announced. Given that Baldur’s Gate 3 only launched in 2023, and considering Larian’s extensive game development process, it’s reasonable for fans to anticipate a prolonged wait before Divinity becomes available.
Target Platforms
While specific platforms for Divinity have yet to be confirmed, it is a safe bet that the game will launch on PC, as is customary for all of Larian’s titles. Additionally, given the trend following Baldur’s Gate 3, which saw a console version released shortly after its initial Steam launch, Divinity will likely be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S as well.
Gameplay and Story Elements

The upcoming Divinity is poised to deliver an RPG experience akin to Baldur’s Gate 3 and its predecessors, but with promises of “greater breadth and depth than ever before.”Larian Studios has aptly described the title as “our biggest, most ambitious RPG yet, ” which speaks volumes considering the expansive nature of their previous works.
Currently, details regarding the storyline remain sparse. The trailer depicts a harrowing scene where a man is brutally burned alive, leading to the release of an ominous evil into the world of Rivellon, along with the notable grotesque statue composed of wood and corpses.
In a recent press announcement, Larian confirmed that Divinity represents a “brand new game” that does not necessitate prior experience with Larian’s other titles. However, players familiar with the Original Sin games will likely have a richer understanding of the lore and world setting.
