Thanks to Patch 7, players of Baldur’s Gate 3 can now fulfill their long-awaited desire to lead a fish army into the final battle. This highly anticipated update delivers on a promise that has been the topic of buzzing among fans for months.
The Kuo Toa, a group of fish-like humanoids, can be found lurking in the Underdark. Their reputation for cruelty and sadism precedes them, but if you have a “but daddy, I can fix him”mindset, they can become a valuable ally in your fight against tadpole corruption.
If you successfully save the Kuo Toa from their false deity BOOOAL, and convince them to worship you through skill checks, they will promise to assist you in the future. However, when Act 3 arrives and the pep rally falls into an awkward silence, they are nowhere to be seen.
In the Patch 7 notes, Larian Studios fulfilled players’ desires by including the Kuo Toa fish army in the final battle.
On Reddit, Larian is being praised by fans and their fish-worshipping addition is generating excitement. One fan even stated, “I’m starting a new playthrough just for this. All hail Maaklompah!”
Another person commented, “This is fantastic! Not only for the new updates, but also because Larian has shown that they listen and take action.”
Another person added, “I will return to my previous save from three hours ago, praising the fish people!”
The players are excited about leading their fish-like followers directly into a fight against the Netherbrain, a bloody and powerful being who seeks to control all.
I’m hoping that the Kuo Toa in Act 2 are not as fragile as they were before. It would be disappointing if our aquatic allies were to perish before they could demonstrate their abilities.
Patch 7 not only introduces a formidable fish army, but also includes wicked conclusions for every character and official mod tools to validate your powerful Shadowheart mod.
Due to the addition of numerous cutscenes and improvements to the overall gameplay experience, players are now convinced that Baldur’s Gate 3 has reached its Definitive Edition.
