The second episode of the Bartender: Glass of God anime began with Miwa Kurushima and Yukari Higuchi on a mission to find Ryu Sasakura. They combed through the city, determined to locate him, as they discovered that Eden Hall was unexpectedly closed.

In another location, Sasakura lent a hand at a different bar due to a shortage of staff. Despite only being there for a brief period, he quickly established himself as a skilled bartender with vast knowledge and the uncanny ability to discern his customers’ desired drinks just by observing them.

Despite being put to the test in this episode, Sasakura’s abilities were showcased as he encountered a customer in the new bar who was highly dissatisfied with every drink he served.

According to reports, he had been a regular patron of the aforementioned bar for a considerable amount of time and would visit on the same day every month for a drink. It was later discovered that he had a strong bond with the former bartender and would make a point to come on the anniversary of their passing to feel connected to them in some way.

Consequently, Sasakura contacted the customer once more and invited him to visit the bar. To his surprise, Sasakura succeeded in recreating the same drink as the previous bartender. This not only impressed the customer, but also brought back fond memories of his past visits to the bar with his wife.

Subsequently, it was discovered that the customer was none other than the Executive Chairman of Hotel Cardinal, the very same establishment where Kurushima and Higuchi were employed. Despite their numerous efforts, they were unable to persuade Sasakura to join their hotel staff.

After observing her behavior for a while, Sasakura was able to discern what would suit her current tastes and skillfully crafted a one-of-a-kind beverage that resulted in a surprising transformation of the customer’s demeanor.

It seemed that the customer was having a tough day at work and was directing her frustration towards Sasakura. However, his calm demeanor and exceptional ability to soothe his customers with his words unexpectedly touched her heart. And with that, the encounter came to a close.
