It may seem unusual to call for balance adjustments regarding defibrillators, yet some players of Battlefield 6 argue that this tool is overly powerful, and it goes beyond just its revival capabilities. The Battlefield franchise has long been known for its eccentric game metas, with instances such as the infamous slug shotgun with an 8x scope from BF3 highlighting how wildly unconventional tactics often take center stage.

Despite the entertaining clips showcasing players dashing through entire teams with defibrillators, there exists a valid argument regarding their excessive strength during the beta phase of the game.

Calls for Defibrillator Adjustments Pre-Launch

The ability for defibrillators to eliminate other players isn’t a fresh concept for the Battlefield series; other tools, like the engineer’s torch, also serve this quirky purpose but at a decidedly slower pace than defibrillators. Notably, Battlefield 6 player Balance highlighted an alarming disparity: the revival speed in BF6 is reported to be 2-3 times quicker than in previous installments, allowing players to spam revives with almost no interruption, bolstered by an unlimited supply of revives.

The stark contrast in damage and speed becomes apparent when comparing defibrillator strikes to standard melee attacks. A knife slash inflicts a mere 35 damage when delivered from the front, while being slower than the instant zap from a defibrillator. This imbalance makes traditional melee weapons feel ineffective, nudging players toward the medic class to revive and eliminate opponents instead.

While it remains uncertain whether defibrillator balance will be discussed before the game’s release, substantial evidence suggests they are somewhat overpowered.
