Gael Cameron subtly revealed the status of her relationship with her boyfriend following her romantic connection with Nathan Gallagher on Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean.
Deckhand Gael Cameron found herself in a complicated situation on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 when she developed feelings for co-worker Nathan Gallagher, despite being in a committed relationship back home.
Despite not having officially formed a relationship, Gael was caught on camera attempting to sneak away and sleep with Nathan by the crew members.
During the June 24 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, a fan asked Gael about her boyfriend’s feelings regarding her late-night attempt to hook up with Nathan.
“I was completely transparent with him. I made sure to express that I have acted in ways that I am not proud of.”
The star of Below Deck also mentioned that from the beginning, she and her boyfriend shared a very relaxed dynamic and never faced any insecurities.
During their time on previous boats, Gael would typically spend her time on deck with the male crew members while her boyfriend socialized with the female crew members. However, when Gael developed feelings for Nathan during Season 9, their dynamic shifted.
“Initially, I didn’t pay much attention to it, but I eventually reached out to him and said, ‘Now that you’re no longer on the boat, I realize that my behavior may not have been completely acceptable.’ He seemed to understand, to an extent,”she continued. “Relationships can be challenging.”
When Andy inquired about Gael’s relationship status with her boyfriend, she replied, “I guess you’ll just have to wait and find out.”
Despite the fact that Below Deck Med Season 9 has just started, the deckhand is already cognizant of the fact that she is taking a chance by flirting with another male crew member on the yacht.
Despite Gael acknowledging the state of her relationship on the show, she could be concerned about her boyfriend seeing her boatmance in the episodes, regardless of their current status.
