As they continue to work closely and become more familiar with each other, it’s inevitable that boatmances will begin to develop on the Mustique.
In a clip from Episode 2, which will air on June 10, deckhand Gael Cameron can be seen flirting with her coworker Nathan Gallagher before a crew night out. This behavior is concerning, considering she has a boyfriend waiting for her at home.
After Gael finished getting ready to go out and emerged from her cabin, Nathan was stunned at the sight of her.
In his confession, Nathan exclaimed, “Gael, holy f*cking sh*t. She’s gorgeous. Even though she has a boyfriend, I don’t owe loyalty to anyone.”
As Gael caught Nathan’s attention, she looked into his eyes and flirted with him, and it was clear that the feeling was mutual.
During the car ride to dinner, Chief Stew Aesha Scott informed Gael that Nathan’s eyes had widened in surprise when they saw Gael.
The deckhand admitted that he also found the person in question to be attractive, thus agreeing with his fellow crew member.
Gael has feelings for Nathan on Below Deck Med.
Based on the contents of the trailer for Season 9 of Below Deck Med, it appears that Gael attempts to initiate a romance with Nathan, but she is reluctant to pursue it further as she does not want to betray her current partner.
As the season progresses, viewers will discover whether the deckhand remains in a relationship with her boyfriend or ends things with him to pursue a romance with Nathan.
Despite the potential for heartbreak, Gael is aware that choosing Nathan could result in a significant risk, as she may end up with no one if things do not work out with either of the men.
