Archaic Age

Our objective is to achieve a robust economy and swiftly progress to the Classical Age.

Perfecting your build order in the Archaic Age sets you up for the whole match.

During this age, your main focus should be on acquiring Food and Gold in order to advance to the next stage at a fast pace. Wood will not be of much use to you until the later stages, so it is not a priority. The Pharoah will play a crucial role throughout this age, particularly in maximizing your Food collection speed.

1. Three starter villagers should be sent to gather Food.
2. Direct two villagers to collect Gold by mining.
3. Construct a Granary adjacent to a source of food.

Classical Age

By eliminating building expenses, you can capitalize on this opportunity by immediately assigning a villager to construct multiple houses as soon as you reach the Classical Age. Nevertheless, as you advance, Wood will become crucial for producing military units and upgrading your civilization.

You should relocate some of your villagers at this stage in order to maintain a balance in your resource collection, with a focus on prioritizing Gold while also obtaining sufficient amounts of Food and Wood. This will help ensure that you are adequately prepared to begin constructing your army.

6. To improve efficiency, make upgrades to farming, mining, and woodcutting.

2. Build the Monument.
3. Pharaoh should Empower the Town Center to raise the Population Cap.
4. To increase efficiency, construct additional military structures that cater to the units you utilize.
5. Improve farming, mining, and woodcutting.
6. Increase your army size by two-fold once more, reaching a total of approximately 75-100 units.
7. Construct the ultimate monument.
8. Improve the effectiveness of military units.

To progress to the Wonder Age you will need to build the classic Wonder building.

While it may not be a game-ending factor, the Wonder in Retold plays a significant role in concluding games. As you progress through the Wonder Age, your Egyptian units become more powerful and you are able to cast God Powers more efficiently and with lower cost.

As you approach the finish line, focus on utilizing your entire army to attack and defeat your enemies. Be prepared to reinforce your troops quickly if they are defeated by improving and building necessary military structures near the enemy.
