In XDefiant, you will encounter the M16A4, an Assault Rifle that fires in a three-round burst. Equipping it with the proper loadout can make it a deadly weapon, allowing you to effortlessly take out your enemies.
If you prefer fully automatic weapons, such as the AK-47 or M4A1, it may take some time to adjust to the M16A4.

Recommended XDefiant M16A4 loadout attachments
- Barrel: Heavy Barrel

This loadout for the M16A4 in XDefiant is designed to enhance the weapon’s damage output and enable aiming down the sights while on the move.
When selecting a Barrel, opt for the Heavy Barrel as it provides a solid 5% increase in damage, albeit at the cost of a lower rate of fire for the weapon.
In order to make up for the decrease in the rate of fire, opt for the Muzzle Booster attachment for the Muzzle. This add-on will boost your rate of fire by 2.5%.
It is advisable to choose the Small Vertical Grip for the Front Rail as this attachment will decrease the amount of time required for aiming down the sights (ADS) and enhance your mobility while ADS.
Finally, choose the Quick Draw Grip for the Rear Grip and the Precision Stock for the Stock. The Precision Stock will decrease both Horizontal and Vertical Recoil by 5% each, and the Quick Draw Grip will improve your ADS speed by 10%.

The Cleaners are the best Faction to use with the M16A4.
The Cleaners are considered the top Faction for using the M16A4 due to the effectiveness of their Incendiary Rounds, which can lead to quick kills. In addition, their Firebomb ability can be utilized to weaken the enemy before making a final strike.
If you are not at ease with this particular weapon, alternative options such as the MP5A2 or the Vector. 45 ACP are available for you to try out.
