Finding the Side Story in the Big City Life Mission

When selecting the chapter, pay special attention to the “???” designation under the Big City Life mission. Before you reach the elevator sequence, you will see the portal to the side story.

At the start of the Big City Life segment, both characters will find themselves in a large pool area, complete with water slides. Move across to the opposite rooftop and use the grapple feature to reach a nearby building. Take a moment to sit on a bench where you can watch an engaging conversation unfold between Zoe and Mio. From here, grapple onto one of the flying cars to access the next building.

In this new area, the side story portal can be located behind the main building, so keep an eye out as you navigate the environment.

Accessing the Side Story in Big City Life

To reach the side story, you’ll need to creatively use your surroundings. Have Mio remain inside one of the portable toilets while Zoe lifts and throws the toilet, allowing Mio to land unharmed in the adjacent building.

Once Mio is safely on the other side, she must kick down the ladder to enable Zoe to ascend to the upper level. This portion of the game leads you into one of Zoe’s whimsical fantasies, so prepare for an enchanting experience.

Upon completing the side story, replicate the earlier action by throwing Mio while she’s still in the toilet to the other building. Avoid the oncoming cars and have Mio interact with the nearby dumpster, which will release an object that Zoe can grapple onto to continue her journey.
