Variety announced on August 8th (according to local time) that Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, and Red Hot Chili Peppers will be performing at the closing ceremony.
A combination of pre-recorded and live performances from all three artists will be broadcasted from Los Angeles.
In the past, the opening ceremony showcased acts by Lady Gaga, Céline Dion, and Aya Nakamura.
Despite the mixed reviews of the opening ceremony, there is curiosity surrounding whether the closing ceremony will be able to compensate for it.
In addition, the mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, who is also the host city for the upcoming Olympics, will be present at the closing ceremony to accept the Olympic flame. The 2028 LA Olympics are set to occur from July 14th to 30th, 2028.
