In the ever-evolving landscape of Black Ops 6 Zombies, players face a myriad of adversaries, but one boss zombie stands out for its relentless difficulty: the Amalgam. Challenging even the most seasoned gamers, this formidable foe has generated significant frustration among the community.

Historically, the Zombies mode in Call of Duty offered a more straightforward array of enemies, including sluggish zombies and undead dogs. However, since the launch of World at War, Treyarch has increasingly introduced more menacing and complex threats to enhance gameplay.

Frustrations with Amalgams in Black Ops 6 Zombies

The Amalgam is a unique boss entity formed from the dismembered parts of lesser zombies, and it represents one of the most significant challenges players will encounter in the current iteration of the game. Following the release of The Tomb in Season 2, players have had enough of battling these powerful creatures.

Reddit user ‘Chrollo0915′ sparked a lively discussion by expressing his discontent, stating that the Amalgams are excessively tough and often disrupt gameplay. He lamented, “I can’t do it anymore like what the f**k. I’m vibing in mid-round 50s, trying for high rounds when Amalgams reach for me, destroy my armor, take off half my health, and leave me surrounded by zombies.”

Chrollo0915 is not alone in his sentiments. Numerous fans echoed similar frustrations, particularly focused on the Amalgams’ long-range grab attack, which can ambush players and leave them vulnerable to incoming damage.

“When an Amalgam grabs you, you have literally ZERO iframes from other damage sources, ” commented another player.“I’ll be going about my business only to get grabbed and then hit by multiple zombies because the Amalgam has me pinned.”

These powerful enemies have become particularly problematic during high-stakes scenarios, such as the final boss battle in The Tomb against the Sentinel Artifact. Players report overwhelming difficulty as they face off against multiple Amalgams while also contending with the boss’s laser attacks.

One frustrated participant recounted, “I lost in the boss fight due to an Amalgam grabbing me, leading to an instant down. You would think all these complaints would encourage Treyarch to adjust their power, but instead, they seem to make them even more bothersome.”

While Treyarch has yet to address these concerns publicly, it is worth noting that the developers have a history of responding to player feedback. For example, in December, they reduced the spawn rate of Manglers after similar complaints regarding a steep difficulty curve.

Many in the community are hopeful that Treyarch will consider similar adjustments for the Amalgam, allowing players to engage with The Tomb’s Easter egg quest without the overwhelming challenge posed by these relentless foes.
