In the ever-evolving landscape of Black Ops 7, one scorestreak continues to stand out for its exceptional potency, despite being overlooked for adjustments in the Season 3 patch. Players are voicing their concerns, labeling the Deadeye drone as “too OP.”

Each time a new seasonal update is launched for Call of Duty, there’s a collective anticipation among the community that the most formidable weapons, perks, and scorestreaks will receive necessary nerfs. The Season 3 update, released on March 31, aimed to balance gameplay by implementing significant nerfs on several weapons, including the Voyak KT-3, Kogot-7, Ryden 45K, and the formidable Swordfish A1.

Concerns Over the Deadeye Drone’s Power

However, the Deadeye drone scorestreak evaded any nerf this season. Despite the presence of counters such as the Hunter Bot and the Blackhat tactical equipment, players feel that the Deadeye remains excessively powerful. This sentiment was echoed by Reddit user LeagueNaive, who questioned, “How did this streak not get a nerf in the Season 3 update? Why is it still granting 100 score per kill and is so easy to earn?”

The power of the Deadeye is illustrated by its capacity for achieving ten kills in a single deployment, especially when combined with the Looper ability.“This is 10x worse than the Swordfish lol, ” remarked another player, Joker2981, noting, “Someone just had an 80 kill game with legitimately 10 kills from his gun.”

With a mere score cost of 575, the Deadeye drone raises eyebrows about its earning potential and effectiveness. Some players are suggesting alternative solutions to mitigate its impact. One commented, “A drone should be taken down with just a few rounds, not an entire clip.” Another player shared their success with EMP grenades, indicating that increased radius could provide a more effective counter.

It’s noteworthy that Treyarch has actively made adjustments in response to community feedback. For instance, after numerous players expressed concerns about the Swordfish, which was allowing lower-skilled players to perform better, the developers took action to balance its stats.
