Responding to numerous player requests, Raven Software is set to introduce a Solos mode to Warzone’s Black Ops Royale. However, players are advised to tread carefully as this new mode comes with some caveats.
Since its introduction in Season 2 Reloaded, Black Ops Royale has revitalized the Warzone experience, offering players a fresh take reminiscent of BO4’s Blackout. While there are many positive aspects to this new mode, certain concerns have emerged from the community.
Players have pointed out issues such as the expansive map size relative to the 100-player cap and the challenge of locating weapons at the beginning of each match. The most significant feedback has centered on the absence of a Solos option, which has compelled players without a trio of friends to partner up with random teammates.
Introduction of Solos Mode Following Player Feedback
In a recent announcement on X, the developers confirmed the rollout of the Solos playlist, effective March 19 at 10 AM PT. However, they accompanied this good news with a cautionary note:
“As a reminder, this mode was originally designed and balanced to launch as a Quads experience. While we recognize the strong interest in a Solos option, please be aware that gameplay is not yet fully tuned for a single player experience.”

Although players can compete solo, Raven Software maintains that the Quads mode continues to be the optimal format for enjoying Black Ops Royale. Those opting for solo play may encounter a more erratic match experience.
A significant challenge in this new mode will be the limited Redeploy options available. Players will start with a Redeploy Token, allowing them to respawn once. However, after this initial event, subsequent deaths will be permanent, as there will be no teammates to assist with Redeploy Towers.
Moreover, the structure of having 100 individual players instead of teams could render the early match stages particularly brutal, especially in areas of high player density.
Nevertheless, for players without a squad, this mode could provide a more straightforward path to achieving secret Operator Orders such as “Unbreakable”and “Finding Answers.”
