In Blue Lock chapter 262, titled “Zero,”Kunigami Rensuke started off strong by winning the loose ball against Ryusei Shidou. He then passed it to Kurona Ranze, who initiated the Bastard Munchen players’ attack.

In chapter 262 of Blue Lock, the focus shifted to Yoichi Isagi as he strategized how to defeat Michael Kaiser. With Kaiser’s attacks becoming erratic and only having Alexis Ness as support, the team was practically under Isagi’s control. In an attempt to provoke Kaiser and anticipate his moves, Isagi resorted to hurling insults at him.

If Isagi’s plan is successful, he will have no trouble defeating Kaiser and reaching the goal, especially with assistance from Hiori Yo and Kurona Ranze. This will only serve to further incite Kaiser.

As anticipated, Kaiser was unable to handle Isagi’s taunts as they brought back memories of his father. Despite having surpassed his father, Isagi’s words made Kaiser feel suffocated, similar to the times when his father used to strangle him. The thought of losing everything and returning to being an unwanted human terrified him. Therefore, he immediately charged towards Isagi.

Alexis Ness intervened and advised Kaiser to take a moment to calm down. Having already achieved satisfactory results, there was no need for him to continue playing recklessly. Ness suggested that Kaiser patiently wait for the right moment to use his new weapon. However, Kaiser was consumed by the fear of losing everything if he were to be defeated by Isagi, including his position in Bastard Munchen and the offer from Re Al.

Michael Kaiser attempted to take down Isagi, but the attacking midfielder easily evaded him. It was in that moment that Kaiser came to the realization of his own shortcomings. Despite his past accomplishments, he lacked the drive to strive for more and instead, was afraid of losing what he had already attained.

Therefore, in order to safeguard his position, he had intentionally created a comfortable environment for himself. This involved carefully selecting opponents he knew he could easily beat and staying in locations where he would have the upper hand. However, the view from his current peak was not ideal.

Therefore, Kaiser made the decision to discard his glory, fame, and pride in order to embrace a new identity as “zero.”In doing so, he transformed his sense of self, shifting from a mindset of protecting his own achievements to one focused on pursuing new goals. Ultimately, this all centered around his “zero,”the ball.
