The official website for the Blue Lock anime announced on Monday, June 24, 2024 that the highly anticipated second season will be released on Saturday, October 5, 2024. The website also shared details about the season, including its episode count and the addition of new cast members, Oliver Aiku and Sendou Shuto.
The First Season of the anime concluded with the Second Selection Arc, followed by the highly anticipated match between the Blue Lock Eleven and the Japan U-20 team. The upcoming anime will continue with the Third Selection Arc, which centers on Ego Jinpachi’s crucial task of selecting the starting lineup for the upcoming match.

Upcoming Release of Blue Lock Season 2 in October 2024
The official X account of Blue Lock anime announced on Monday, June 24 that Blue Lock season 2 will premiere on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11:30 PM. The highly anticipated season will be aired on the newly established TV Asahi nationwide network anime slot “IMAnimation”.
The upcoming season of the anime will consist of 14 episodes, in contrast to the previous season’s 24 episodes. This implies that the show will most likely air until at least January 4, 2024, with the possibility of potential breaks extending the release date further.
In addition, the cast members have been confirmed to voice the Japan U-20 players – Oliver Aiku and Sendou Shuto. Along with this announcement, the anime has released the character designs for the two players in their official Japan kits.
Satoshi Hino has been confirmed as the voice actor for Oliver Aiku, the captain of the U-20 Japan National Team. Aiku is known as the “Diamond Generation”due to his exceptional defensive skills and natural talent. Playing as a centre-back, he is considered a crucial figure in shaping the future of the Japan national team.
Satoshi Hino’s roles include Daichi Sawamura in Haikyuu!!, Gauche Adlai in Black Clover, Momonga in Overlord, and Kyojuro Rengoku in Demon Slayer.
Akihisa Wakayama has also been confirmed as part of the cast, taking on the role of Sendou Shuto. Sendou Shuto is known as the star player of the U-20 Japan National Team and was previously a top striker in Japan’s domestic first division. His impressive goal-scoring record has earned him the trust of his teammates.
Akihisa Wakayama has lent his voice to characters including Regis K. Landegre in Noblesse, Ryuuji Kanzaki in The Classroom of the Elite, and Shounen Sekkou in Goblin Slayer.
