The ninth chapter of Boruto Part 2 hints at the return of a familiar character to the narrative.
Today marks the release of Chapter 9 of Boruto: Two Vortex. According to the spoilers, this chapter will bring about some unexpected turns in the plot, such as Himawari finally tapping into her full potential and a heated confrontation between Boruto and Kawaki.
In Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 9, there is a surprising detail that suggests the return of an old character. Boruto and Kashin Koji are shown in an uninhabited location at the beginning of the chapter, with stone snake statues visible in the background in several panels. This further hints at the character’s potential comeback.
During their visit to Orochimaru’s hideout in Boruto Part 1, Naruto, Sasuke, Sarada, and Chocho came across snake statues that resembled those seen before. This suggests that Orochimaru may make a comeback in the story.
It is possible that Boruto and Kashin Koji’s presence at Orochimaru’s hideout suggests that they have been in communication during the three year timeskip. Orochimaru is known for his unpredictable nature and he may have assisted Boruto during this period.
There is a strong connection between Boruto and Orochimaru that supports this theory. Orochimaru was previously Sasuke’s mentor, who now serves as Boruto’s master. Additionally, Mitsuki, the son of Orochimaru, is Boruto’s closest friend. Furthermore, Naruto and Orochimaru share a significant history, albeit mostly negative.
During the timeskip, there are indications that Boruto may have been in communication with Orochimaru and that the legendary Sannin could potentially return. This is hinted at in Chapter 8, where Boruto meets Mitsuki after three years. Despite Mitsuki having no memory of Boruto, the rogue ninja instructs him to seek him out as he knows where to find him.
Orochimaru’s return in Boruto will be an unforeseen and captivating twist in the story. It will also be the second most surprising return in Boruto Part 2, following Kurama’s comeback in the same chapter.
