Big Planet Made announced that while Taemin was getting ready for his fifth solo mini-album “ETERNAL,”he expressed his desire to surprise fans with personalized T-shirts as a special gift. These shirts were exclusively given to fans who were present at the exhibition on August 22.

The company disclosed that the manufacturer had erroneously labeled the clothes as Taemin’s and sold them to other brands, leading to confusion. The manufacturer issued an apology to both Taemin and Big Planet Made. The agency also promised to exercise greater caution in the future to avoid any similar errors.

Peruse the complete statement from the agency:

“We would like to inform you about the details regarding the ‘Taemin Clothing Brand Launch’ on August 22. We want to clarify that the rumored online posts are not true.

Taemin prepared his fifth mini-album, ‘ETERNAL’ and he also wanted to give a special gift to fans with T-shirts that he designed himself. These clothes are being distributed through a lottery to fans who visited the exhibition at the Informal Square, in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.

The garment was created by Taemin to show his appreciation to his fans after joining a new agency. However, the manufacturer mistakenly posted the clothes as Taemin’s, despite being meant for another brand.

The manufacturer has officially apologized to Taemin and his agency. They promised to do everything in their power to prevent such mistakes from happening again in the future.

Big Planet Made Entertainment would also ensure that the companies it works with do not make such mistakes. We ask for fans to understand that our collaborators are doing their best for our artists.

Lastly, we would like to reaffirm that the rumors of Taemin’s clothing brand launch are not true and we promise to approach our fans solely through music.”

According to the statement, this is how netizens responded:

  • “What kind of clarification is that? They could’ve just said that the prices will be changed and people would’ve been fine with it, but the way they’re always lying will turn back on them.”
  • “Would’ve been better to stay quiet.”
  • “This company doesn’t know how to release statements.”
  • “Why are they like that? There wouldn’t have been any issues even if he went through selling those. People who want to buy it will buy it; why are they like that?”
  • “But that brand’s price was the problem, right? Can’t they just change the price?”
  • “His company seems bad at PR.”
  • “I don’t believe it. How do you accidentally upload someone else’s brand.”
