Although LMGs in Modern Warfare 3 are not commonly used, the recent Season 3 Reloaded update has significantly improved the DG-58 LSW, making it one of the top weapons in multiplayer. It’s worth considering giving it a try now.
Although LMGs are heavily utilized in Warzone due to their effectiveness in long-range combat and large magazine sizes, they are not as effective in multiplayer where mobility and handling are prioritized. Hence, most LMGs in MW3 are not considered to be top-tier weapons.
The Pulemyot 762 with the JAK Annihilator Bullpup Kit can be effective, but it is often outperformed by most assault rifles and battle rifles. In multiplayer, unless in certain situations and locations, using most LMGs is not recommended.
Despite its previous underperformance, the DG-58 LSW has become a formidable weapon in Season 3 Reloaded due to significant buffs. These enhancements include a 13% reduction in recoil and the ability to eliminate enemies in just four shots. As a result, its time-to-kill (TTK) has been reduced to an impressive 255 ms, placing it among the top weapons in Modern Warfare 3.
For multiplayer domination, this is the recommended loadout for the DG-58 LSW:
- Muzzle: Zehmn35 Compensated Flash Hider
- Optic: JAK Glassless Optic
- Stock: Recoil Reduction Buttplate
- Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop
- Comb: FSS Last Stand Comb
Despite its exceptional accuracy and superiority over most other weapons, the DG-58 LSW remains classified as an LMG. Even with the added benefits of increased mobility and handling through this loadout, the heavy-duty nature of this weapon results in a slower aim speed compared to most assault rifle builds.
Avoid using this weapon in a run-and-gun manner. The DG-58 LSW is most effective when used to hold down lanes and dominate power positions. When utilized correctly, this LMG is undeniably one of the top choices in multiplayer and definitely worth utilizing.
