On July 21, Burger King’s much-anticipated Naruto collaboration will make its debut in the United States. Fans are excited, but they may want to temper their expectations for an extensive anime-themed takeover.

Earlier this year, Burger King France fully embraced the world of Naruto with a limited-time event that transformed its locations into “BKonoha.” This initiative featured specialized meals, exclusive merchandise, and themed packaging, capturing the hearts of anime enthusiasts across the region.

Now, American fans can partake in this celebration, albeit in a more limited capacity.

Naruto Journey to American Burger Kings

Beginning July 21, select Burger King locations in the U. S.will introduce a Naruto-themed King Jr. Meal, which will include one of six collectible toys that showcase fan-favorite characters from the franchise: Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, Rock Lee, and Gaara.

However, unlike its French counterpart, the U. S.offering stops at collectible toys without the full-scale meal options.

In France, consumers enjoyed the ability to order bespoke “Menu Naruto” and “Menu Sasuke, ” featuring specialty burgers inspired by these iconic characters. Naruto’s meal included a flame-grilled beef patty complemented by orange soy sauce and crispy fried onions. Meanwhile, Sasuke’s meal featured a crispy chicken patty paired with ketchup. Customers in France also received exclusive items, including a Naruto ninja headband and a Sasuke-themed t-shirt.

Unfortunately for American fans, such meals and merchandise are not part of the U. S.offering. As of now, Burger King has not elaborated on the reasoning behind this limited experience not expanding further across the ocean.

For anime aficionados in the U. S., this Naruto collaboration is a slight triumph, illustrating that Naruto’s global popularity continues to thrive.

This isn’t the first occasion Burger King France has made other fast-food chains envious. In 2024, there was a surprise ‘BFF Burger’ collaboration between KFC France and Burger King France, marking another notable moment in their creative marketing strategies.
