In a shocking incident that could have ended tragically, food influencers Nina Santiago, known as NinaUnrated, and Patrick Blackwood were injured during a live review when a vehicle crashed through the window of a restaurant they were dining in.
The couple was enjoying their meal at Cuvee Culinary Creations, a popular eatery in Houston, Texas, when calamity struck. Approximately ten minutes into their recording session, while savoring sliders, an SUV barreled through the glass facade at an estimated speed of 35-40 mph, wreaking havoc in the dining area.
Fortunately, while both influencers sustained injuries, they managed to escape serious harm. After being transported to a nearby hospital, they received treatment for multiple lacerations, resulting in several stitches.
Post-Accident Reflections: A Grateful Perspective
In the aftermath of this harrowing event, Nina Santiago took to social media to express her gratitude, stating, “Tomorrow is not promised. Beyond grateful to be alive. This could have been our last meal.” Patrick Blackwood echoed her sentiments, adding, “I’m just blessed and grateful to be alive.”
The duo was enjoying a delightful feast of sliders, wings, mac and cheese, and a variety of drinks, relishing what they believed would be just another enjoyable day at their favorite restaurant.
Describing the terrifying moment, Santiago recounted, “We were laughing, having a great time, and right as we tapped our sliders together in a cheers moment, this SUV came barreling through the glass wall at 35-40 mph.” The sudden chaos resulted in their table toppling over, sending glass flying and forcing Santiago to the ground as Blackwood was pushed toward her.
Despite the trauma of the incident, the resilient content creators returned to Cuvee Culinary Creations less than 24 hours later, choosing a safer seat away from the window to continue their culinary adventures.
