Catfish fans praise compassionate new co-host Kamie Crawford

Kamie Crawford, who was brought on to assist Nev Schulman in revealing fake online personas on Catfish, has been receiving adoration from fans as Max Joseph’s replacement.

In 2012, when Catfish was transformed into a TV series and premiered on MTV, Nev Schulman and Max Joseph became co-hosts.

When Max departed from the show in 2018 to prioritize his film career, Nev invited various guest co-hosts to fill in for him during the second half of Season 7. These included Rashad Jennings, Elle King, and Slick Woods.

Kamie Crawford was initially a featured guest co-host on Catfish Season 8, but she eventually became a permanent addition to the show.

Ever since she joined the show, she has been praised by fans on Reddit for her excellent work as Nev’s partner in solving catfishing cases.

One fan wrote, “I adore her. Her manner of speaking and compassionate demeanor are authentic. She can effectively communicate while remaining respectful.”

Kamie received further recognition from a fan who commended her for her emotional intelligence and articulate speech, referring to her as a “queen.”

Another viewer complimented Kamie’s contributions to the show, noting that they have formed a strong connection with Nev and have great chemistry together.

Nev and Max had been close friends while working together on Catfish for years. When Kamie stepped in to fill his role as co-host, she knew she had big shoes to fill.

Nev, the star of Catfish, has been instrumental in solving numerous intriguing cases, including one in Season 9 where a catfish was using photos of Charli D’Amelio.

Despite the fact that Max cannot be replaced, fans are delighted that Kamie is part of the show and eagerly anticipate seeing her in future episodes.
