Following the highly anticipated reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 at Gamescom, the COD Pod podcast initially announced a week dedicated to Zombies reveals set for early September. However, recent developments indicate that this event may no longer occur, as the podcast has been re-uploaded with significant edits.

The initial broadcast highlighted the new co-op campaign and briefly touched upon aspects of both multiplayer and Zombies. In the first release, the hosts expressed enthusiasm, stating, “We only got a teeny tiny little taste of what is coming to Zombies and Black Ops 7 because the dedicated Zombies reveal is just a few weeks away.” This sentiment emphasized the importance of the Zombies mode in the upcoming game.

Interestingly, other sources, including the PlayStation Blog, continue to hint at upcoming Zombies news, maintaining that fans should expect more details in early September. Notably, an earlier tweet from Call of Duty stated, “Our official Zombies reveal isn’t for a few weeks, ” indicating that anticipation still lingered.

The absence of marketing materials has led to growing apprehension among the gaming community, with some players expressing doubt about the upcoming Zombies mode. In discussions on the CODZombies subreddit, users voiced concerns that the silence might signify that Zombies will not meet expectations.

One player questioned, “So the chances have increased for Zombies in BO7 being absolute slop then?” Another added, “If they’re not confident enough to release any marketing, and they edited the portion where they claimed they’d have all of this special stuff for zombies, there is ABSOLUTELY an increased chance that the game will be worse than initially anticipated.”
