Cole Hauser from Yellowstone Hints at Major Changes in Season 5 Part 2

The end of Yellowstone is approaching, and according to cast member Cole Hauser, Season 5 Part 2 is expected to unfold quite differently from the typical cowboy tales we’ve come to know.

Fans have much to anticipate in the final episodes of Yellowstone. Key storylines include the long-standing feud between Beth and Jamie, the Texas cattle drive, and most significantly, the fate of John Dutton.

Creator Taylor Sheridan has spent five seasons weaving intricate plots that he now needs to resolve within just six episodes. Fortunately, the Yellowstone cast (excluding Kevin Costner) is fully supportive of his vision. From what we hear, Part 2 is set to bring some surprises.

“God, I literally finished it 10 days ago, and I’ve been pondering what this season signifies,” Rip actor Cole Hauser stated [via Fox News]. “After seven years of working on this show, Taylor [Sheridan] is an incredible writer, and he’s done an amazing job wrapping this up.

“It won’t be tied up in a perfect bow, as it never truly is with Yellowstone, but it contains some very dramatic and heartfelt moments. It’s definitely different from past seasons, in a positive way.

“I’m excited for the audience in the ‘Yellowstone’ universe to experience it, and hopefully, they will love it. That’s my only hope.”

The notion of being “different than past seasons” is quite compelling. As any fan of the Dutton family knows, Taylor Sheridan typically stays close to the homestead when crafting his cowboy legacy. While Yellowstone, 1923, and 1883 span various timelines, they all share similar core values.

The themes of legacy, land, and family intertwine throughout his franchise. It’s evident that Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 will continue these motifs, but if the Duttons’ saga is taking a dramatic turn, then we can only speculate what surprises lie ahead.

Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 is scheduled to premiere on November 10, 2024.
