Some students at Seoul National University in South Korea are reluctant to see the girl group NewJeans appear at the school celebration.

As the highest university in Korea, Seoul National University is the aspiration of all students’ parents and hearts. Recently, Seoul National University has suddenly become popular on major exchange websites on the Korean Internet. The reason is because of the messages on the “Seoul Freedom Message Board”. An anonymous student at Seoul National University said: “I really can’t understand why NewJeans come to the school? Is it the love of Bang Si Hyuk’s alumni?”Another student also left a message anonymously: “The foundation of Seoul National University will be destroyed., Is it plausible for an actor to step into the highest university in Korea?”Another person left a message: “If you are in Seoul, you should have a team like NMIXX or OH MY GIRL.”This message has been liked by many people and has become a “Best Comment”.

In addition, many different voices appeared, saying: “NewJeans are expensive to perform”, “It costs at least 100 million (KRW, the same below) to invite them to sing, which is too expensive”, “It’s not that it’s a waste to invite artists, but I think it’s a waste to invite top artists” , “What kind of psychology is it that you think it’s a waste to invite artists to perform at a celebration?

Seoul National University will hold the school celebration “SUNFESTIVAL”from September 12th to 14th, and released a promotional trailer. The silhouette of the trailer hinted at the participation of the girl group NewJeans, which sparked discussions among college students in Seoul.
