In the thrilling world of REANIMAL, players can discover a total of 18 unique masks. These collectibles are special as you can equip them not only for your character but also for your companion. If you’re on a quest to gather all the masks, this comprehensive chapter-by-chapter guide will lead you to their locations throughout the game.

Chapter 1

The first chapter features three distinctive masks waiting to be found.

Mask #1 – Bird Head

After navigating through the sewer tunnel, your journey will lead you to a ladder that allows you to climb into a building.

Once inside, ascend to a platform with the assistance of your companion, then move forward until another ladder comes into view.

Ascend this ladder, head left, and continue until you arrive at a door.

Open the door and utilize the cracked wall to access an outdoor room.

Inside, you will discover the Bird Head mask hidden within a crate.

Mask #2 – Worm Head

After completing the platform puzzle with the pipe, you will enter a room filled with lockers.

The middle locker leads to a bathing area.

Proceed to the right side of this room where you’ll find the Worm Head lying beside the sink.

Mask #3 – Conch Head

When you come across the Draisine missing two wheels, look to its right for a door. If you continue down the appropriate path, another door will lead you to a hidden area.

Open the door and navigate to the right until you discover a storage area stocked with ammunition. The Conch Head can be found next to a bench.

Chapter 2

Chapter two contains two additional masks.

Mask #4 – Pig Head

Upon entering the village, find your way into a clothing store featuring a pair of mannequins.

Behind the counter, a crawlspace awaits—light up the area to spot it easily.

Crawl through, and you’ll discover the Pig Head mask resting on a plate in a small room.

Mask #5 – Cone Head

After retrieving the crowbar from the cinema, head back to the alley located to the right of the main square. Here, a critter wearing a traffic cone will catch your attention.

Track it down the street to the right until you reach a building blocked by planks. Use the crowbar to remove the barricade and gain entrance.

Within, you’ll need to defeat the critter adorned with the Conehead Mask using your crowbar.

Afterward, simply collect the mask for your character.

Chapter 3

In the third chapter of REANIMAL, players can find a single mask.

Mask #6 – Deer Head

Following your escape from the hotel in a boat, you will pursue the Pelican that abducted your friend. As you explore around the large cannon, you’ll eventually arrive at a beach featuring ladders leading to an elevated area.

Eliminate any seagulls obstructing your way with the crowbar as you climb the ladders to reach the top.

Upon reaching the flower fields, head towards the far left until you locate a scarecrow.

Attack the scarecrow until it drops its mask, then take down the critter wearing it to claim the Deer Head.

Chapter 4

Chapter four contains a total of three masks.

Mask #7 – Bucket Head

Enter the clock tower where the petrified children are located, then proceed to the far right side of the room to discover a crawlspace beneath a bookshelf.

Upon entering, you’ll witness a critter with a bucket darting back outside from the bottom left corner.

Follow it outside and defeat the critter to receive the Bucket Head mask.

Mask #8 – Crown Head

During a combat sequence involving spider kids, be sure to eliminate the child wearing the crown as he makes a dash behind his throne.

If he’s not defeated before escape, restart the checkpoint as he will elude you. After a few strong hits with the crowbar, the crown will drop for you to equip.

Mask #9 – Plant Head

Following a brief skirmish with the spider kids, you’ll find yourself in a corridor dotted with floor gaps and side doors.

Instead of proceeding forward or opening any doors, backtrack toward the camera and slip through the crack in the wall.

Here, you can retrieve the Plant Head mask from the ground and equip it.

Chapter 6

Four masks are discoverable in the sixth chapter of REANIMAL.

Mask #10 – Fish Head

After solving the control room’s puzzle, descend the ladder and leap onto the beach below.

Navigate to the leftmost area, where a critter adorned with a peculiar item will await.

As usual, employ the crowbar to defeat it and equip the Fish Head mask.

Mask #11 – Package Head

After utilizing the cannon to eliminate the large horse creature baring your path, steer your boat towards the ravine on the right.

As you progress, you will confront a path obstructed by naval mines. Utilize the harpoon to annihilate them and forge ahead.

Land on a small beach where you can snatch the Package Head mask.

Mask #12 and #13 – Diving Helmets

After completing the diving suit segment, you’ll eventually remove your suits after aiding a larger creature.

Make sure to collect both Diving Helmets one after the other to complete your collection; you will hear a confirmation sound indicating success.

Chapter 7

In chapter seven, players can find four masks waiting to be discovered.

Mask #14 – Bush Head

Following an intense escape, you will arrive at a brief moment of calm just before facing the trenches.

Approach the metal door to the right and lift it to crawl underneath.

Inside this area, the Bush Head mask will be available for you to pick up and don.

Mask #15 – Mine Head

Upon entering the trench, witness two soldiers meet a gruesome fate. After the third soldier, who wields a shotgun, head right at the trench’s entrance to find a broken wall.

Sneak into this area to obtain the Mine Head mask.

Mask #16 – Rabbit Head

Continue within the trench until you encounter another soldier who detonates a grenade for clearing purposes. To your left, find a broken wall where the Rabbit Head mask can be uncovered.Note that this mask is only available if you have discovered all five Hidden Statues during your playthrough.

Mask #17 – Amphibian Head

After taking the elevator to the top of the hospital and prying open the doors with your crowbar, you can access a room on the right, known as the operating room.

Crawl under the desk located on the right side to find the Amphibian Head mask.

Collect the Amphibian Head mask from there.

Chapter 8

The eighth chapter presents the final mask of REANIMAL.

Mask #18 – Gas Head

Once you’ve obtained the key in the shooting gallery (where you shoot the key from the hanged soldiers), interact with the oven situated just outside the unlocked door.

Your interaction will cause a critter to emerge from the oven and scurry back into the shooting gallery. This creature moves quickly, so it’s preferable to pick up a gun and shoot it instead of using your crowbar.

Collect the Gas Head mask from the ground and equip it.

After gathering all 18 masks in REANIMAL, you will unlock the Beneath The Masks achievement.

Pre-Order Bonus Masks

Players who pre-ordered REANIMAL have access to additional masks to equip.

How to Switch Masks in REANIMAL

To change your equipped masks, simply pause the game at any time and select Masks. From there, you can choose any mask you wish to equip for yourself or your companion.

Except for the Rabbit Head mask, which has an additional requirement, all other 17 masks are available through exploration in the game.
