Jimmy may have departed from the original Yellowstone crew early in the show, but a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the 6666 Ranch indicates his return.
During the last episode of Yellowstone, Rip led a team, including Jake, Ryan, Teeter, and Walker, to Texas to protect cattle and keep them alive through winter, leaving the Dutton Ranch behind.
Fans familiar with Jimmy’s storyline in the original series know he is currently residing and working at the 6666 Ranch. With just a few episodes remaining in Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2, viewers might have thought Jimmy wouldn’t reappear until the spinoff.
Nonetheless, production photos from the 6666 Ranch reveal that Rip and his team will not only address their cattle challenges but that Jimmy will also return.

While the separation between the Texas and Montana teams may play a significant role in upcoming Yellowstone episodes, it’s likely they won’t linger long before returning to the Dutton Ranch to resolve the show’s primary storyline.
These photos affirm that they will certainly spend some time at the iconic Texas location. With Jimmy looking sharp in his red shirt showcasing the Four Sixes logo, it appears he has fully settled in.
Without a doubt, the Texas-set episodes will explore the dynamics at play while laying the groundwork for the anticipated 6666 spinoff, which is expected to feature Jimmy as the central character, alongside his on-screen fiancée Emily.
