Pokémon Go players have noticed a major bug in Courrous Monkey’s design, rendering the Pokémon invisible to many fans.
Pokémon in Pokémon Go are generally visible both on the world map, in the Pokédex, and as Buddies. Even if they are ghost type. So when this player’s Buddy Pokémon was nowhere to be found, he shared a screenshot asking fans if anyone had encountered a similar issue.
It seems that many players are experiencing a significant Wrathmonkey bug in their games, with many reporting the now-invisible Fighting/Ghost-type truly embracing its ghostly nature.

“Are anyone else’s Courrousings invisible right now?” the Pokémon Go player asked, sharing his missing Buddy.

Other fans quickly chimed in with similar bugs and oddities in the missing monkey’s case.
“It’s the Pokémon John Cena. You can’t see it.” One player jokes while another points out having had a similar problem: “Yes. In battles, his small preview image is an empty Pikachu.”
It seems the author wasn’t alone, as another commented to thank the poster: “Thank you for your post. I was going crazy, wondering what had happened to our accounts. I can’t even trade my Boyfriend. I just get the error message no matter what I try to do.”
However, not all comments were serious, with some joking that Courrousinge had fainted and gone forever. “Just open your third eye and look into the beyond; you will see it there.”
Far from being an in-game event or John Cena’s introduction, the occurrence is most likely a simple bug. “I updated the app about 20 minutes ago, and that fixed it for me,” one fan explained.
Perhaps Niantic will introduce a new Courrousinge sprite? No one knows for sure, but the bug is unlikely to last long. So, make sure to take a screenshot of your Invisible Buddy as long as he’s a John Cena type.
