Upcoming Drama “History of Scruffiness” Teaser Released by Wavve and Watcha

On February 21st, popular OTT platforms Wavve and Watcha unveiled the teaser trailer for the highly anticipated drama “History of Scruffiness.”According to an exclusive report by Xports News, this series will premiere on February 26th, airing two episodes each week on the aforementioned platforms.

“History of Scruffiness, ”adapted from a well-loved webtoon crafted by writers Kim Poong and Sim Yoon-soo, delves into the intricacies of love and relationships. The narrative is characterized by its relatable exploration of how anyone can find themselves navigating “loser” situations, making it a compelling watch for audiences.

The stellar cast features Jo Byung-kyu, Song Ha-yoon, and Ryeo-woon, with the project being helmed by acclaimed director Kim Sung-hoon, known for notable films like “Rampant, ” “Confidential Assignment, ” and the series *Detective 1958*.Importantly, the script was penned by the original webtoon creator, Kim Poong, ensuring that the essence of the story is retained.

Despite the excitement surrounding the launch, the teaser notably lacks the presence of Song Ha-yoon, which has sparked speculation given her involvement in a school bullying controversy that surfaced in April of last year. Reports indicate that a U. S.-based individual, referred to as “A, ”accused her of physically assaulting them while they were high school students, leading to significant media scrutiny.

In response to these allegations, Song Ha-yoon’s team firmly denied the claims, asserting that she has no connection with the accuser and asserting that the allegations are entirely false. They emphasized the damaging effects of unverified claims and urged the media to refrain from speculative reporting.

Jo Byung-kyu’s Comeback Amid Allegations

Lead actor Jo Byung-kyu also finds himself in the midst of similar allegations related to school bullying, having faced accusations in 2021 that resulted in a temporary hiatus from the entertainment industry. Fortunately, he has since made a comeback with the tvN series “The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch.” Addressing the allegations, Jo Byung-kyu has firmly denied the accusations, stating, “I am still doing my best to prove that they are not true.”
