  1. Visit the Rufus website and download the latest version.
  2. Launch Rufus by double-clicking the executable file.
  3. Click on the Settings button at the bottom of the window.
  4. Select the Daily option for updates.
  5. Note: This step is necessary only if the download option is unavailable.
  6. Close the settings window and return to the main interface.
  7. In the “Device” section, select your USB flash drive.
  8. Click the down-arrow button to access the download option.
  9. Proceed by clicking the Download button.
  10. Choose the Windows 11 option and continue to select the latest version available.
  11. When prompted, select the Windows 11 Home/Pro/Edu variant.
  12. Select your preferred installation language and architecture (x64).
  13. Finally, click Download and choose a location to save the ISO file.
  14. After downloading, stick with the default settings in Rufus.

Creating a Bootable USB Installer Using Ventoy

To use Ventoy for creating a Windows 11 bootable USB installer, follow these instructions:

  1. Open the Ventoy GitHub page and download the latest.zip file.
  2. Extract the files from the downloaded.zip folder using File Explorer.
  3. Launch the Ventoy2Disk.exe from the extracted folder.
  4. Select the target USB drive under the “Device” setting, and click Install.
  5. Click OK to confirm.
  6. Head to the Microsoft Support website to download the Windows 11 ISO.
  7. Select the x64 Windows 11 option and confirm the download.
  8. After downloading, copy the ISO file to the Ventoy USB drive.

Once you’ve completed these steps, your bootable USB with Windows 11 will be ready for installation on unsupported hardware. One notable advantage of Ventoy is its versatility— it allows for multiple ISO files, enhancing your ability to switch between versions easily without needing to format the USB drive every time.
