Crunchyroll Presents: One Piece 25th Anniversary Concert and Demon Slayer’s LiSA at San Diego Comic-Con

On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, Crunchyroll revealed that they will be hosting a One Piece 25th anniversary concert and a concert for LiSA from Demon Slayer at the San Diego Comic-Con in July 2024. The performance by LiSA is part of Crunchyroll’s “Crunchyroll Concert Series”and will take place on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Comic-Con International in San Diego.

The San Diego Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing the “One Piece 25th Anniversary: Symphonic Voyage” concert at Comic-Con on Saturday, July 27. The concert will be free for Comic-Con International badge holders attending the convention in San Diego, but admission is limited and based on a first-come, first-serve basis due to venue capacity of 10,000 people.

Upcoming Concerts: One Piece and Demon Slayer’s LiSA

In simpler terms, this indicates that both the One Piece concert and LiSA’s performance will be open to all attendees, except for those who do not possess a badge. Additionally, there will be no option for fans to reserve a seat and it is advised to arrive early to secure a spot at each performance. LiSA’s performance will take place at the Rade Shell in Jacobs Park located in San Diego.

LiSA’s upcoming performance will be her first in the United States since Anime Boston 2015. The concert, titled “LiVE is SMiLE ALWAYS -LANDER -” , will be shown by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures in North America on Saturday, August 17, Sunday, August 18, and Wednesday, August 21, 2024. The film will feature footage from her sixth album LANDER’s concert tour, which took place in various locations throughout Japan from September to December 2023.

The 25th Anniversary: Symphonic Voyage concert is a part of the television anime’s 25th anniversary festivities, which will officially take place on October 20. The event, which will take place at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, is scheduled for July 27 at 7 PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). This special outdoor concert was created specifically for this year’s Comic-Con International.

The concert celebrating its 25th Anniversary will showcase a 90-minute musical performance by the San Diego Symphony, consisting of over 40 musicians. The show will incorporate aerial pyrotechnics, inspired by iconic scenes from the anime series. The doors will open at 5 PM PDT, with the line for the event forming at 4 PM PDT.

The One Piece anime is the authorized television adaptation of the manga series of the same name, created by author and illustrator Eiichiro Oda. The manga was initially serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in July 1997 and is currently ongoing, but in its Final Saga. In 2022, the manga commemorated its 25th anniversary.
