DanTDM Launches Radio Show Featuring Music from Zelda, Final Fantasy, Minecraft, and Other Popular Games

Minecraft YouTuber DanTDM, known for captivating a massive audience of over 29 million subscribers, is set to embark on an exciting new venture: a radio show dedicated exclusively to video game music. Under his real name, Daniel Middleton, he has gained immense popularity through his engaging Minecraft content and a variety of gaming videos.

Dan has openly expressed his passion for video game music in the past, drawing on his background in music production from his collegiate studies while establishing his YouTube presence. His latest project, titled Next Level with DanTDM, aims to blend his content creation skills with his love for video game scores.

Details of the Upcoming Show, Next Level with DanTDM

Beginning on January 11, 2025, at 9 PM, DanTDM will take to the airwaves of Classic FM. Each hour-long episode is initially scheduled to run until Easter, finishing on April 20, 2025.

Throughout the series, listeners can expect a musical journey through some of the most iconic video game soundtracks, featuring beloved titles such as The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy VII, and The Elder Scrolls V. Naturally, Dan will also highlight music from his favorite game, Minecraft.

In his announcement to Classic FM, Dan expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to host a radio show. “Teenage me wouldn’t be able to believe I have my own radio show! Having studied music production at university and then worked in video games for the past 15 years, being given a show that celebrates the meeting of these two worlds feels totally surreal,” he stated.

“Classic FM is such an iconic station and I’m really grateful and excited to have been given this opportunity.”

DanTDM is part of a growing trend where YouTubers are branching out into various forms of media. Recently, fellow creator Valkyrae announced her own media company focused on anime, demonstrating that the intersection of social media and traditional media is expanding in exciting ways.
