On launch day, a notable exploit in Marathon has surfaced, granting players effectively an unlimited amount of Silk, the game’s primary currency used for acquiring items from the Rewards Pass.

Following the Server Slam, Marathon‘s full launch occurred on March 5, 2026, allowing eager players to fully engage with various Runners, loot an assortment of weapons, and explore diverse maps. With the game officially live, the excitement is palpable.

In addition to gameplay mechanics, the introduction of a Rewards Pass system during Season 1 adds a layer of cosmetic variety. Players can unlock various aesthetic items and enhancements through the pass.

The Marathon Silk Exploit: Unlimited Currency Unveiled

While Silk is intended to be earned by progressing through the season, a newly discovered exploit enables players to amass unlimited Silk and instantly claim all items in the Rewards Pass. The exploit works by spending a portion of your Silk while ensuring a minimum balance of 20 Silk remains. After this, closing the game and restarting allows players to reset their Silk balance back to the maximum cap of 140.

It is important to note two specific conditions for the exploit to function effectively. First, it appears to be exclusive to PC users; testing on console versions yielded no results. Second, players must own the Deluxe Edition of the game for the exploit to succeed.

This glitch occurs because the game mistakenly believes you haven’t received the Silk bonus associated with the Deluxe Edition, thus restoring the currency upon logging back in. While this exploit provides players with an abundance of Silk, it is crucial to recognize that it is not an intended game feature, and developer Bungie will likely prioritize patching this loophole.

As of now, developers have not publicly acknowledged the glitch, and it remains operational for PC versions. However, it’s essential to understand that exploiting this feature does not confer any significant gameplay advantages. The Rewards Pass primarily includes cosmetic items and a limited number of Schemas, allowing for additional purchases of select items. For a comprehensive look at the Season 1 pass, click here.
