Dead by Daylight Shop Receives a Massive Update but Misses an Important Feature

Despite having been startled numerous times, the game has now become more about enjoyment than fear. However, there is still one aspect that continues to evoke screams from me, and it seems like such a simple mistake at this stage – the ability to gift cosmetics.

The highly anticipated 7.7.0 PTB for PC players, currently available at the time of writing, brings a much-needed overhaul to the in-game shop. Now, players can easily mix and match old and new outfits before using their Auric Cells and Iridescent Shards to purchase them for their favorite characters. However, the lack of a gifting option for skins to friends is a major disappointment and has been a source of frustration for fans, as seen in both official and fan account replies.

Despite not being developed by Behaviour, Dead by Daylight Mobile offers the unique feature of gifting skins to friends and access to exclusive game modes, which may entice fans of the original game to try it out on their mobile devices. However, it’s important to note that there is also a Gacha mechanic in this version, unlike the base game, which could potentially lead to unexpected additional expenses.

It appears that the team at Behaviour is attentive to fan feedback, and there is a possibility that a feature allowing players to dress up their SWF with gifted outfits may be introduced in the future. If the shop revamp is successful, perhaps this feature will also be implemented.
