Demand for Role Queue in Marvel Rivals Grows as Players Complain about Stupid Team Compositions

Marvel Rivals is resonating well with its fans, however, the absence of a role queue is causing some players to question its gameplay.

Despite drawing clear inspiration from games such as Overwatch, the upcoming hero-based shooter does not offer players the ability to select their roles before a match, unlike Blizzard’s highly successful title.

The purpose of role queue is to enable individuals to select their desired role, whether it be tank, support, or attacker, prior to entering a lobby for a match. This promotes better teamwork and coordination by establishing clear player expectations from the beginning of the match and reducing confusion when selecting heroes.

Despite gaining momentum through its current Alpha Test, Marvel Rivals players are experiencing frustration due to the absence of a role queue mechanic.

This issue is raised in the game’s subreddit, with one player stating that the game should adopt a system similar to that of Overwatch.

“The player expressed frustration at losing several consecutive games due to the refusal of others to play as tanks or healers.”

Despite enjoying playing Marvel Rivals, many players have expressed frustration with the lack of a role queue, as it has been causing issues in their games and even driving some players to stop playing.

“One user expressed their lack of interest in the Reddit post, stating that role queue was necessary for their engagement.”

One user has noted that while this is only an alpha version of the game, there is a strong possibility that a role queue will be implemented in the future. This alpha phase is intended for the developers to address any minor gameplay issues.

Thankfully, the current alpha test provides an ideal opportunity for fans to offer suggestions such as this one. With plenty of time remaining before the official release of Marvel Rivals, the developers should have ample opportunity to incorporate a role queue system.
