Just as expected, the fourth season of Demon Slayer is coming to a close as the arc reaches its end. We now have confirmation of the release date for the final episode and its duration.
Despite the fact that Demon Slayer Season 4 is covering the Hashira Training Arc, it was always expected to be relatively short. This is because the season serves as a lead-up to the Infinity Castle Arc and the epic showdown with Muzan in the anime series. We have been taking advantage of the calm before the storm and enjoying the brief break.
We have recently learned that the final episode of Demon Slayer Season 4 will be Episode 8, scheduled to air on Sunday, June 30. According to the listings on Fuji TV, which broadcasts Demon Slayer in Japan, Episode 8 will have a runtime of 60 minutes.
In comparison to Season 3’s finale, which lasted 70 minutes and had a more complex plot, this episode is actually slightly shorter. However, the main focus is on Muzan’s impending arrival, which will interrupt the training and set the stage for Infinity Castle.
It is likely that we will witness a showdown between Tanjiro and the Hashira against Muzan before the end of the series, leaving viewers eagerly anticipating the outcome. The possibility of a fifth season of Demon Slayer is uncertain due to rumors suggesting that a trilogy of anime movies will be released instead.
Despite nothing being confirmed yet, we will have to wait and see what happens. There is a possibility that we may receive both films and additional episodes, similar to the release of Mugen Train.
Despite the enormous success of Demon Slayer and its compilation films, Infinity Castle and Sunrise Countdown could easily release twice and still attract a dedicated fanbase.
However, for the time being, let’s just appreciate the fact that Demon Slayer Season 4 is ending on a high note. Alternatively, you can also check out the most highly anticipated anime films coming out in 2024.
