Demon Slayer Season 4: Proving Season 3’s Exceptional Status

The release of Demon Slayer season 4 is just days away and the excitement is at an all-time high. This highly anticipated season is crucial as it will showcase a major plot development, featuring an intense battle between the Upper Moon demons and the demon hunters.

Despite the strong lineup of two popular Hashiras and two powerful Upper Moon demons, the fanbase remains cautious due to the disappointment of the previous season.

After the Entertainment District arc, the fans’ expectations were sky-high due to the perfect setting. The intense battle between Gyutaro and the demon hunters set a high standard, making season 3 a letdown. Nevertheless, we are optimistic that Demon Slayer season 4 will exceed expectations and elevate the overall viewing experience.

Despite the success of the previous season, season 3 faced challenges that hindered its potential. The epic battle between the demon Gyutaro and the demon hunters, which is considered one of the greatest shonen anime fight scenes, had set a high standard for Ufotable to meet. This made it difficult for them to recreate the same level of excellence. Additionally, the Yoshiwara District provided a visually stunning backdrop with its vibrant lights and warm tones, elevating the already impressive fight sequence.

Due to the recency bias, fans had high expectations for the third season to be just as successful. However, the absence of flashy fight scenes contributed to its poor reception. In addition, there were other technical aspects that Ufotable could have improved upon in order to enhance the overall enjoyment of the season.

Despite being a character who was disliked by the entire fanbase, Gyokko’s Blood Demon Art abilities were also criticized for their use of 3D CGI animation, which fans did not appreciate.

While fans may be disappointed that the upcoming season will not have as many fight scenes as they would like, this is due to the fact that there is currently no main antagonist in the story. Nevertheless, the fourth season promises to have plenty of exciting elements that fans can anticipate.

It is possible that season 4 may include certain anime-original scenes that were hinted at in The Hashira Training movie. The opening episode will provide viewers with a sneak peek into the combat techniques of Sanemi Shinazugawa and Obanai Iguro.

Additionally, there is a strong indication that Ufotable could place a greater emphasis on each stage of the Hashira Training, which was meticulously designed by the pillars. This could mean that fans can expect to see more detailed depictions of the various Breathing Techniques and their accompanying particle effects. Furthermore, season 4 of Demon Slayer will likely shed light on Giyu Tomioka’s distant behavior towards his fellow pillars within the organization.

The focus for the upcoming season will be on improving the animation in the training sequences, creating new scenes specific to the anime, and developing beloved characters such as Giyu Tomioka. These are just a few of the factors that will contribute to the success of the new season, surpassing that of the previous installment.
