Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the leader of the Corps, requested that Tamayo collaborate with Shinobu Kocho, who possesses extensive knowledge in medicine and demon physiology.

Despite being aware of Tamayo’s involvement in aiding the demon hunters, Shinobu’s anger was still justified.

Their deep-seated hatred for demons stemmed from a traumatic event that occurred during their early childhood. While still young, both she and her sister Kanae were forced to witness a demon mercilessly slaughter their entire family. In a moment of sheer terror, when it seemed all hope was lost, they were miraculously rescued by Gyomei Himejima. Since then, their resentment towards demons has only grown stronger, fueled by the loss of their parents at the hands of these monstrous creatures.

In addition to that, Shinobu had to face the tragic death of her sister, Kanae, who held the title of Flower Hashira and was killed by the demon Doma, the second in command of the Upper Moon demons.

Shinobu’s determination to become a Hashira stemmed from her vow to annihilate all demons. However, she is now tasked with collaborating with someone from the very species that robbed her of everything she held dear. Given the circumstances, it is understandable that she harbored intense frustration towards Tamayo, making her anger entirely justified.

Despite this, Shinobu’s initial anger towards Tamayo in the manga series was not a constant. While she was initially frustrated, her feelings gradually shifted as she spent more time with her.

Shinobu was impressed with Tamayo’s extensive research and clear intentions. Eventually, he successfully isolated the individual from her kind and gained a great deal of respect for her. Tamayo’s impressive medical knowledge left a lasting impression on Shinobu.

Shinobu and Tamayo’s contributions were crucial in the defeat of some of the most formidable Upper Moon demons and Kibutsuji Muzan himself. Without their teamwork and collaboration, the Demon Slayer Corps may have succumbed to the overwhelming strength of Muzan and his demons in the manga series.
