The Diablo 4 Season 4 PTR did not reveal all that the next major update has in store. Blizzard has hinted at additional announcements to come in an upcoming developer stream.
The game’s first Public Test Realm (PTR) gave Diablo 4 players a sneak peek at Season 4. The PTR introduced various new itemization mechanics, which have been met with positive feedback from players due to their significant impact on builds.
It appears that Blizzard has retained some select elements from players for Season 4. According to Community Manager Adam Fletcher, there are still undisclosed aspects that will complete the season.
Fletcher clarified that while there are indeed major changes in store for Season 4 of Diablo 4, most of them have already been introduced in the recent PTR. He also mentioned that there are still a few minor items that they have yet to reveal.

Fletcher also expressed gratitude towards players for their valuable feedback during the Season 4 PTR. The Diablo 4 development team is currently diligently incorporating the main changes based on the constructive criticisms.
The potential changes that have not yet been seen could encompass various aspects. It is plausible that there are additional mechanical alterations to the core Diablo 4 gameplay, similar to the ones unveiled on the PTR.
It is possible that these unnoticeable alterations are connected to the upcoming Season 4 theme, which has yet to be revealed. The question of whether they will coincide with our recommendations on how Blizzard can thrive in Season 4 remains uncertain.
