As Diablo 4 enters its third season, players continue to discover hidden secrets throughout the game. One chest, in particular, is so rare that players have admitted to having no idea it exists in Diablo 4.
Diablo 4 players have been receiving post-launch content with each major seasonal update leading up to the current Season 3. Even though there have been disappointments, players continue to enjoy the hundreds of hours of gameplay that Diablo 4 has to offer.

Player Reveals Location of Incredibly Rare Secret Fermemot Chest
On Reddit, a Diablo 4 player shared that he found an extremely rare Fermemot chest. While he seemed to be familiar with the rare discovery, other players had never heard of it.
Several users in the comments questioned the existence of Fermemot Chests: “So… who else has been playing since beta and didn’t even know it existed? Seriously, I’ve never heard that word.”
Another player took the time to explain that a Fermemot chest is a “chest that you have to open by giving it a correct combination of phrases.” He added: “The loot is very disappointing compared to its incredible rarity.”
Those who claimed to stumble upon Fermemot chests in Diablo 4 were in agreement about the loot. The same goes for their rarity which has never been questioned: “Since launch. They are beyond extremely rare, I have 8 level 100 characters and I have never seen one.”
The responses were a mixture of astonishment at having never heard of the chest and disappointment from those who had encountered one.
However, things quickly got interesting in the comments. Indeed, one player explained that Fermemot chests can provide better loot after finding a few of them. He said: “When you find the next one, if you passed the phrase on your first one, you get slightly better loot. Based on this trend, it is best to continue opening them.”
If this player is correct, this seems to indicate that opening Fermemot chests may prove interesting to any Diablo 4 player who finds them.
