Forget about the Lightning Spear Sorcerer; Diablo 4 has introduced a brand new and incredibly powerful build known as the Evade Spiritborn, which is ripping through the endgame with ease. The question remains: how long will this dominance continue?
Throughout Diablo 4’s history, numerous overpowered builds have altered the game’s landscape. Who could forget the all-powerful billion-damage druid or the fierce Ball Lightning Sorcerer that once ruled the meta?
With the arrival of the Vessel of Hatred expansion, a fresh contender has emerged as this season’s most daunting build, thanks to the newly released Spiritborn class.
The Evade Spiritborn build has swiftly gained popularity among players for its remarkable effectiveness in dismantling the forces of Hell. Perhaps the best part is how effortlessly players can get into it, without needing to possess deep knowledge of Diablo mechanics.

As the name implies and the showcased clip suggests, the Evade Spiritborn build centers around the concept of, you guessed it, Evading. However, that’s a slight oversimplification. Crucially, you will need an Ancestral Unique Quarterstaff known as Sepazontec along with the Spiritborn’s Class Mechanic.
Sepazontec features a Unique Affix that triggers your character to perform the third hit of the Basic attack combo with each cast. This, combined with the Thunderspike Basic attack—which refreshes your Evade cooldown every third strike—means you can essentially cast your Evade move an infinite number of times.
While this may not sound incredibly impressive by itself, it’s the Spiritborn’s Class Mechanic that truly enhances this build. By selecting the Eagle as your primary Spirit Guardian, not only do your skills transform into Eagle skills, but you also unleash lightning-infused feathers that inflict Vulnerable status on enemies, leading to increased damage.
These feathers are already powerful without additional enhancements, but when buffed for Vulnerable damage, they turn you into a relentless force of destruction. Try the Spiritborn Evade build before it’s too late
Wudijo himself reflected on how long this build might remain unaltered before Blizzard implements adjustments. Players in the aforementioned Reddit discussion unveiled their speculations, predicting that this build could soon be “nerfed into oblivion.”
The ease of breaking the game with this build is primarily what has raised eyebrows. Earlier builds that reached such high efficiency typically required significant investment in multiple Mythic Uniques and considerable endgame content progression.
This particular build can become viable as soon as Torment Tier 1, requiring far less effort to get started. One player confidently claimed, “It won’t last until Season 7, but I don’t anticipate a mid-season 6 nerf.”
