Diablo 4 Transmutation Trick for Easy Acquisition of Low-Level Materials

A Diablo 4 player has recently found a transmutation technique that streamlines the process of obtaining materials in Season 4: Loot Reborn.

The itemization rework of Diablo 4 Season 4 introduced a variety of new systems, including Masterworking. This endgame feature allows players to enhance the affixes attached to their gear.

Obtaining specific materials in The Pit of Artificers is the most effective method for Masterworking. Lower-level materials like Obducite can be farmed in Pit Tiers 1 through 29, while Ingolith is only available in Tiers 30 through 59.

As the game progresses towards the endgame, things can become more challenging. Some Masterworking upgrades even call for low-level materials, causing many Diablo 4 players to accept the tedious task of grinding through earlier Pit challenges for the sole purpose of material farming.

Despite the difficulty of grinding previously completed Pit Tiers, one Reddit user discovered that transmuting high-level materials into lower-level mats was a much simpler task.

The Redditor pointed out that 1 Neathiron can be converted into 3 Ingolith, and then 9 Obducite can be created by transmuting the Ingolith.

Hence, players who possess additional Ingolith can visit The Alchemist and transform it into Obducite, eliminating the need to redo a Tier 20 challenge for the same outcome.

Many Diablo 4 players were unaware of this transmutation trick, not just the original poster. Some users also admitted to spending unnecessary time grinding for low-level materials before learning about this faster method.

A grateful individual, who received the tip, expressed their gratitude by stating, “Praise Lilith… I had just begun my remastering process last night. Your advice has saved me a significant amount of time that I would have otherwise wasted.”

Another person added, “It seems like it’s about time to stop spamming those [Pit Tier] 30s, thanks to the OP.”
