Mike and Rachel’s Return in Suits Season 8

The climax of the seventh season of Suits revolved around Mike and Rachel’s romantic New York wedding. Despite their long-standing dance around each other for six seasons, they ultimately made the decision to exchange vows and solidify their commitment.

After proposing to Rachel in Season 4, Mike’s arrest for practicing law without a license put their plans for marriage in Season 5 on hold. He didn’t want to jeopardize her future, so he decided to postpone the wedding.

After obtaining their law licenses in Season 6, Mike and Rachel tied the knot and relocated to Seattle to establish their own firm.

Despite both Adams and Markle not returning for Suits Season 8 due to personal reasons, Adams expressed his desire to spend more time with his wife and fellow actor Troian Bellisario and felt that Mike’s story had reached its conclusion.

During her time on the show, Markle started dating Prince Harry and eventually decided to leave in Season 7. This was due to the seriousness of their relationship, as well as the strict employment and public appearance rules enforced by the Royal Family, which made it impossible for her to continue her role.

Despite his absence in Season 8, Adams made several cameo appearances in Season 9 when one of his Seattle cases required him to confront Harvey in New York. The actor also appeared in the series finale.

While discussing his return, Adams revealed that the idea was always on the table, even after his initial departure. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, he expressed his excitement to reunite with the cast and crew and celebrate the legacy of the show, stating, “Ultimately, it was about coming back. It was about, ‘We’d love to get the band back together,’ basically. It was a chance for one last trip around the world. For me, it was simply an opportunity to see everyone and be present for the show’s final moments.”

Despite the end of Suits, there is currently a spinoff series called Suits: L.A. in the works. However, it has not been confirmed if Adams will make an appearance in it.
